เราสามารถ Embedded ไฟล์ Flash ลง MediaWiki ได้โดยอาศัย Plug-in เพิ่มเติม และก็แก้ไขค่า LocalSetting.php ให้สามารถอัพโหลดไฟล์ SWF เข้าไปในระบบได้. ส่วน Plug-in ที่ทำให้ดู Flash ทางเว็บได้ ก็ดาวโหลดตัวนี้ไปโลด

โดยปกติ Adobe Captivate 2 จะมีการ Publish Output file ออกมา 2 file คือเป็น File ที่เป็น Movie อันนึง ส่วนอีกอันหนึ่งจะแปะตัว Player Navigator เข้าไป การแยกไฟล์นี้ทำให้เกิดความยุ่งยากบางอย่าง ดังนั้น หากเราต้องการให้ Output file ออกมาเพียงไฟล์เดียว ก็สามารถทำได้เช่นเดียวกัน

Project > Skin > เลือกเอา Border ออก

เท่านี้ไฟล์ Output ก็จะออกมาเป็น SWF เพียงไฟล์เดียวเท่านั้น ซึ่งได้รวม Player Navigator เข้าไปด้วยแล้ว

เดิมการพัฒนา E-Learning หรือการสร้าง Demo วิธีใช้ จะใช้ Flash ซึ่งมีความสามารถในด้านการทำภาพยนต์ หรือ Animation แต่ปัจจุบัน มี Product ใหม่ออกมาที่ช่วยให้เราไม่ต้องรู้ในเรื่องของ ActionScript ซึ่งเราจำเป็นต้องรู้ใน Flash และเราสามารถสร้าง E-Learning ออกมาได้ง่ายมาก ออกมาเป็น Flash Presentation นั่นก็คือ Adobe Captivate (ชื่อเดิมคือ Macromedia Captivate) ถือเป็น Trend ใหม่ที่น่าสนใจมาก และผมคงเอามา Implement ใช้งานร่วมกับเว็บไซต์ผมด้วย. เพราะเพียงเรา Demo โดย Click ตาม Step ตัวโปรแกรมก็จะ Generate ออกมาเป็นขั้นตอนให้ ขนาดไฟล์ก็เล็ก เพราะว่าโปรแกรมใช้การ Snapshot หน้าจอออกมาเป็นภาพ ถ้าภาพนั้นไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลง ก็จะเก็บเพียงภาพๆเดียว ทำให้เป็นภาพยนต์ที่มีลักษณะต่อเนื่อง แต่มีขนาดเล็กในเวลาเดียวกัน ถือเป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจมากทีเดียว.

By default, Mediawiki doesn't accept filetype which isn't image, you have 2 choice to modify mediawiki to accept another filetype. First, modify at LocalSettting.php, another by modify DefaultSetting.php in Include folder.

• LocalSetting.php (Insert this variable)
  $wgFileExtensions = array('png','jpg','jpeg','gif','ogg','doc','xls','ppt','sxc','pdf','');
  $wgStrictFileExtensions = false;
  $wgUploadSizeWarning = 5000 * 1024;
• How to make link for download
  To include the image in a page, use a link in the form
  [[{{ns:6}}:file.jpg]] or
  [[{{ns:6}}:file.png|alt text]] or
  [[{{ns:-2}}:file.ogg]] for *.* filetype.

วิธีการติดตั้ง Wiki เพื่อใช้ Shortname สั้นๆ โดยใช้ mod_rewrite ของ apache ด้วยการแก้ไขไฟล์ .htaccess ในระบบ สามารถทำได้ดังนี้

• กำหนดค่าดังด้านล่างนี้ในไฟล์ .htaccess
  Options FollowSymLinks
  RewriteEngine On
  RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
